Subject: Review Good afternoon, I recently wrote a review having purchased a personalised life jacket from you. I have received your reply, however it will not allow me to reply to you via the website. I would just like to show my thanks to you for getting back to me so quickly. I feel that you really care about the satisfaction of your customers. I appreciate that you will be sending out another cover for the life jacket I purchased which was shown in a different colour on your website. Kind regards, K Snudden
Subject: New Lifejackets Gents, I trust all is well on the Island? Just a big thank you to say that I received four very nice lifejackets this afternoon. I really appreciate the speed of production and delivery. As I would expect from Seasafe they are of the excellent construction and quality that I’ve come to expect from my long term PPE partner! (There’s another quote for you!). Just a quick question – can’t seem to see any lights on them? I know you offered them Jeremy and they are on the invoice / delivery note but can’t see them fitted? Please advise. Once again many thanks Best regards Barry **** Reply from SeaSafe – The lights are water activated and fitted to the inside of the LifeJacket ready to be activated if the Life Jacket goes off *****
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your time today – really appreciate you getting back to me. As discussed could I please order 4 x Adult I-zip AUTOMATIC lifejackets, all with stainless steel buckle and D-ring harness: Again Jeremy many thanks for all your help. Seasafe has kept me safe for 20 years so natural choice for the family now that we are back afloat. Best regards B
Hi Keith, All good here. Both shipments arrived OK. Have updated my Life Jackets. It’s good to know a source for these items. The local guy, (only one in this city) is not very co-operative when it come to replacement Life Jacket spares and parts. Thanks. Regards, Graeme
Hi David, Sorry to see Wendy go, but will update everyone here that it will now be through you for any collections etc. Thankyou for sending across our 2 new lifejackets and new cover recently, we can now send you our 3 remaining lifejackets for servicing so they are ready in the office whenever Keith is passing and able to collect them. I had already sent the purchase order form over to Wendy for these which included the new lifejackets. Many thanks Graeme
Hello Wendy, I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you for the amazing life jacket! I just opened it this morning and it looks fabulous. I am posting in the Bedlington Station SAC Facebook group<www.facebook.com/groups/454754214562374/?epa=SEARCH_BOX> this week so if Seasafe can join the group, I’ll be able to tag you in the posts as well as putting the website in the info. I’ll follow up with some pictures from the RNLI event for your info as well as the Open competition in December. Especially with whoever the lucky angler is who walks away with the life jacket! Many thanks again, it’s really appreciated! Amelia
Keith I’ve just got back from leave and I wanted to thank you for having us. We all really enjoyed the training and learnt lots, I for one now have such a better understanding of the build and service processes involved to develop Life Jackets and Pilot coats. You have a really good team there at Seasafe and you made us all feel welcome, thank you. Kind regards David
Hola Keith, thanks again for the excellent service and fast responses. Your life jacket quality is much appreciated in at least two pilotage zones in Brazil and I expect that as people get to know them better in here we will be able to place more orders. My best regards. Daniel
“I have had a SeaSafe lifejacket for a year now and could not recommend it more. Being able to choose replacement covers in different colours is an added bonus. The service that David offers his clients is second to none, and this was illustrated recently when I ordered a new cover. I made a mistake on the order form for the name embroidery and only noticed this when the cover arrived with a different font to the one I thought I had ordered. I asked if this could be rectified and there was no fuss, just quick and helpful replies to my emails. I returned the first one, with the correct font information this time, and next day received the new cover. Brilliant service. Thank you, David.” Many thanks again, Sarah
Now that’s what I call service! The new cover, with perfect embroidery, arrived today. Thank you so much, David. Do you have a testimonial or comments page on a website or social media site? Many thanks again, and I will certainly pass on my recommendation of SeaSafe. You couldn’t have been more helpful. Kind regards, Sarah
Dear Wendy, Thanks for your email, I’m a boatbuilder and have merely supplied your lifejackets to my customer. He has all the paperwork and bumf that comes with them. He also lives in Canada, which may well mean he’s had them serviced in Vancouver! I have a reasonable background in sea safety and I service my own lifejackets myself. For future (more local!) customers though I shall certainly be advising them to pay you a visit one a year 🙂 Your lifejackets are excellent, although since buying those from you previously, all my subsequent customers have sorted themselves out. They may well have come to you, who knows?! Best wishes, Justin
Dear ‘Seasafe’, This is just a brief email to thank you for your excellent service. I needed to have two lifejackets serviced before a salmon fishing trip on the River Tweed. I dropped my jackets off at Newhaven Marina and a few days later picked them up, neatly packed, and fully serviced and documented. As it is not possible to send lifejackets with gas cylinders attached via the post or most courier companies, this collection service is particularly useful. I was impressed with the service I received and the helpful staff I spoke with as well as the reasonable charge. Kind regards Andy
Hello Keith, Just wanted to let you know we received our coats a couple of weeks ago. So far I have been delighted with mine and the helmet. The addition of our names and company logo are a nice touch. It may take a while but y’all make a fine product! Thanks! Paul
Thanks Wendy, For your prompt response replying, efficient as ever!! Fraid the R word is actually happening the days may be a bit flexible but it will be my last day working around the 6th of August if not before. Time to enjoy life away from work with family a bit of traveling tour the IOW maybe take in some of its delights! Its been a pleasure being involved with SeaSafe you have always given wonderfull service. Regards Roger.
Subject: Crotch strap… Thank you! Hello Matt, Just wanted to thank you for your excellent customer service and action in response to my phone call yesterday. The replacement crotch strap arrived just a few minutes ago, and will do the job nicely. Many thanks indeed!, G R
Hi Wendy Kindly be advised that I have just made payment for the above invoice and I would like to say thanks for the great service provided in getting our coats turned around in a short space of time. Will be in touch towards end of May/beginning of June when my other coat requires a service. Until then, thanks again. Kind regards Tim

Hi Wendy My RNSA lifejacket looks brilliant! Many thanks Lindsay
Subject: Re: I zip life jacket Good morning Jeremy I received my repaired life jacket back this morning. I am very grateful for such a great service especially given the fact the rip in the lung was down to Naive rescue techniques and not the fault of the jacket ! Thank you very much! I won’t hesitate to recommend your company to fellow boaters. I will look forwards to wearing it again with great confidence. Very happy customer J M
Subject: Thanks HI, You recently serviced 6 lifejackets for me with a super-fast turn-around (pickup/drop-off in Emsworth Marina). I just want to say thanks for a great, convenient service and I’ll be using you guys going forward each year. Cheers, Chris. C Jones West Sussex
LiveSaver is the recently introduced MOB device invented by experienced RYA instructor Duncan Wells. Impressed with its simplicity and ease of use, SeaSafe have now made it a standard optional extra on their entire range of I-Zip & Pro-Zip lifejackets. LiveSaver comprises a 3 metre length of 3mm neon coated Dyneema (HMPE rope) spliced into a loop with a triangle in one end. Immensely strong, the Dyneema is capable of lifting 1.5 tons. One end is attached to the lifting becket in the lifejacket with a strap hitch knot; the other is designed to float free when the jacket inflates. This makes it much easier for the on board rescuer to grab the LiveSaver with a boathook. They can then secure the in-water casualty to the boat while setting up their retrieval rig. Importantly, LiveSaver is the very first device of this kind to be tested and certified by Fleetwood Test House for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) against drowning under the PPE Directive. Commenting on LiveSaver Jeremy Dale, SeaSafe’s managing director, said, “Anyone that has ever tried getting a man overboard casualty attached to the boat to lift them out will know how difficult this can be especially with a […]
In 2016 SeaSafe, the Cowes based sea safety clothing and equipment manufacturer, reaches a significant milestone – 50 years since the company was founded having invented the first ever ‘combination’ coat – the foul weather coat with an integrated, hidden lifejacket now worn by professional mariners the world over. And a major new product launch is imminent as early in 2016 SeaSafe introduce a brand new range of combination coats, jackets and gilets aimed at leisure and recreational sailors incorporating the same tried and tested technology. What if you could have a foul weather coat that is a lifejacket? It is this concept that has made SeaSafe Systems, the Cowes based sea safety clothing and equipment manufacturer, well known. And it’s not something they dreamt up yesterday – far from it as they made their first coat with an integrated, concealed lifejacket in 1966. And that means in 2016 SeaSafe reach a very significant milestone; their 50th anniversary and 50 years since they invented the first ever all-in-one foul weather coat with integrated lifejacket – the coat that, when immersed, becomes a lifejacket in less than 5 seconds. Nowadays SeaSafe combination coats are worn by more harbour pilots and harbour […]
The RNLI will be equipping all its Shannon Class fleet with SeaSafe’s Hypo Hoist – a major endorsement for their proprietary MOB recovery system and a significant order for the Cowes based sea safety clothing and equipment manufacturer. Recipient of multiple awards, including ‘US Coast Guard Award for Maritime Safety’, Hypo Hoist was designed to rescue a conscious or unconscious person from the water and back onto the safety of a vessel, whilst minimising risk and injury to the casualty; an important attribute being that it can be deployed by just one person, a key factor in a lightly crewed craft. Since its launch in 2006 it has been widely sold to harbour organisations, marine police, superyacht owners, independent inshore lifeboat operations, ferry owners, yacht clubs, yacht owners and oil spill response specialists, but SeaSafe admit the RNLI order represents a highly significant seal of approval for Hypo Hoist; Jeremy Dale, managing director, commenting, “We are delighted that, following rigorous and extensive testing, the entire Shannon Class lifeboat fleet will be equipped with Hypo Hoist. “It’s well known that lifting an MOB vertically can cause a rapid drop in blood pressure, greatly increasing the chances of cardiac failure and neurological […]
After 12 months of development and safety testing, Cowes based SeaSafe Systems has now commenced full scale production of QUIKSLING – an innovative new MOB recovery system that, in the years ahead, may come to be regarded as the most significant advance ever in aiding the quick recovery of in-water casualties. QUIKSLING was invented by George West, a pilot boat coxswain who was motivated by the recognition that fast recovery is absolutely critical, especially in sub-zero temperatures with the prevalent risk of hypothermia, and following his own experience of MOB recoveries at sea. His vision therefore was to create a better first response throw-out device to speedily capture someone immersed in water, in the same quick way that a lifebuoy would be thrown out. Jeremy Dale, Managing Director of SeaSafe, explains how QUIKSLING works: “It throws out like a life ring and the rescuer activates the chest sling with a sharp tug on the rope. Deceptively simple in both appearance and use, it will work in all weather and sea conditions. QUIKSLING’s frame is easily lifted over a rescued person, with the wide open loop allowing for easy entry in the roughest seas and an inflated lifejacket will not impede […]
If you’re looking for something different to the perennial woolly jumper to give your partner or a relative this Christmas, SeaSafe have a lifejacket promotion and it’s great value. If you buy one of their best-selling I-Zip 170N lifejackets in any colour of your choice (choose from over 18 colours), with prices starting at just £84.95, you can also purchase a package of lifejacket accessories comprising: a Kill Cord attachment, a SOLAS Light, a Spray Hood and a Re-Arming Kit all for just £32.00. New from SeaSafe Systems, the British manufacturer of specialist marine safety clothing, is the Sea Trekker Navigator – a gilet style, sleeveless jacket with a concealed hood that features an integrated lifejacket, which means it’s both stylish and safe. Ideal for the warmer summer months, hidden away is the built-in, self-righting 170 Newton lifejacket inflation system that will automatically inflate when immersed. With the Sea Trekker Navigator no one would realise the wearer has a lifejacket on, yet should the user go overboard this gilet becomes a potentially life saving lifejacket in less than five seconds. Made from an outer two-tone fabric of red over beige microfibre, it also has a rear black mesh panel which allows air to flow through the garment, providing a cool, lightweight feel. The Sea Trekker Navigator may be stylish but it’s highly practical too with an impressive range of features such as outside zipped pocket jettings, front webbing straps (useful to hold a compass or to clip on a VHF), retro-reflective tape over the shoulders, lifting becket with stainless steel D Ring, crotch strap with detachable clip, SOLAS approved automatic light, gusset pocket with Aquapac mini phone case attached, flare pocket, knife/Maglite holder under […]
Cowes based SeaSafe have just taken delivery of a brand new van with striking livery and it’s sure to become a familiar sight around the island. SeaSafe operate a unique lifejacket maintenance service with over 50 lifejacket servicing centres – Service Points – around the UK and currently seven of those are on the island, with locations in Cowes, Yarmouth and Bembridge. The service couldn’t be easier to use: whether you have one, two or ten lifejackets that need servicing, all you need to do is drop them into one of the Service Points and SeaSafe arrange collection and return. With the investment in the new van SeaSafe say it means they can speed up the service for their island based customers. And there are no delivery charges (unless the lifejackets are returned to a non Service Point address). Once received and inspected, SeaSafe will make contact with the lifejacket owner to explain what work was undertaken and the cost. The charge for service and certification is £9.95 plus any spare parts needed on inspection. However, if additional work is required to bring the lifejacket up to specification, SeaSafe will always call the customer first to seek their prior approval […]
22 April 2015 – SeaSafe have just added their 50th life jacket servicing centre, meaning that most parts of the UK now have one within easy reach. The majority of these ‘Service Points’ are marinas but other organisations have joined the network too including sailing clubs and chandleries. Whether you have one, two or ten lifejackets that need servicing, SeaSafe have made it really easy – you just drop them into one of the Service Points and SeaSafe arrange collection (using DHL). There are no delivery charges unless they are returned to a non Service Point address. Once received and inspected, SeaSafe contact the lifejacket owner to explain what work needs doing and the cost, with servicing starting at just £9.95. Jeremy Dale, Managing Director of SeaSafe, comments, “Superficially a lifejacket can look fine and appear in good condition but it could be hiding all kinds of defects. We have had lifejackets back here with heavily corroded CO2 gas bottles, loose or detached gas bottles, lungs that are damaged with rips, tears and holes, used and never re-armed lifejackets, operating mechanisms with missing parts and many other critical problems. It’s why we set up our ‘rogues gallery’ of images on […]
