H20 for small rafts
This model is designed for liferafts from 4 up to 12 persons and outside SOLAS regulations.

The Hammar H20 for smallrafts consists of a double looped white rope line, a release mechanism and a Red Weak Link with a green lower thimble (breaking strength 1,2 +/- 0,4 kN).
The white strong rope of Hammar H20 is secured to the deck or liferaft cradle and attached to the liferaft lashing with a slip hook. If the ship sinks, the water pressure will, within approximately 4 metres, activate a sharp knife, that cuts the white strong rope and the liferaft will float free. As the ship sinks, the liferaft painter line will be stretched and the liferaft starts to inflate. The Red Weak Link breaks and survivors can board the floating liferaft. The Hammar H20 needs no annual service, maintenance or spare parts, but must be replaced after 2 years of use on a ship.

Its safe, reliable and simple design has earned it more worldwide approvals than any other unit. The Hammar H20 Solas Model is designed for liferafts from 6 up to 150 persons.
The Hammar H20 is a hydrostatic release unit designed to fit liferafts of all shapes and sizes. It is made of glass fiber reinforced nylon, which prevents it from corroding. The Hammar H20 needs no annual service, maintenance or spare parts. You simply install a new one every two years and dispose of the old one. With the environment in mind, the old unit is 97% recyclable.

The Hammar H20 hydrostatic release units are approved all over the world, fulfil the requirements of the SOLAS 74/96 Convention, Reg. III/4 LSA Code, MO Res. MSC. 48/(66), IMO Res. MSC. 81(70), approved to EU Directive 96/98 EC on Marine Equipment and has a Nato stock number. Release depth 1,5 – 4,0 metres according to IMO/SOLAS regulations.
Hammar MRRS - Manual Remote Release System
Hammar MRRS enables you to release liferafts from the bridge or other strategic locations onboard. This means that in an emergency situation, you can save precious time and possible also lives.
The MRRS is suitable for installations of up to 50 metres in length. By means of a vacuum pump, which is operated manually, the vacuum is conveyed via stainless steel tubing to a release unit. When the release unit is activated, a sharp knife blade cuts the rope sling holding the liferaft to be released. Vacuum pumps can be connected in parallel to give multiple control positions.
