Award winning Hypo Hoist now available in bespoke sizes

When SeaSafe introduced their innovative, multi-award winning Hypo Hoist MOB recovery system, to universal acclaim, it was launched in a standard size primarily intended to suit power or sailing yachts in the small to mid size range. From the beginning SeaSafe experienced a constant flow of enquiries from all over the world from yacht owners with larger craft (over 50 feet length) who wanted a bespoke Hypo Hoist specifically made to suit their boat's freeboard. Needless to say, SeaSafe have been happy to oblige and Hypo Hoist can now be made available in a bespoke size and numerous owners have taken up this option.
Recipient of several awards including the US Coast Guard Award for Maritime Safety, Hypo Hoist was designed to rescue a conscious or unconscious person from the water and back onto the safety of the vessel, whilst minimising risk and injury to the casualty. A key feature of Hypo Hoist is that it can be deployed by just one person, an important factor in a lightly crewed vessel.
The main component of Hypo Hoist is its dual function cradle which can be used to either hoist and roll the MOB up the freeboard, level with the deck and back on to the craft, or to operate as a boarding ladder with hand holds to allow quick and easy access back onto the vessel.
Hypo Hoist can be used on commercial vessels, charter craft, racing yachts and privately owned boats, and the level of business for the product is such that it now has its own dedicated production area within SeaSafe's 8000 square feet factory in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
